NSD crop

National Scrapbooking Day is this Saturday and there is a online crop happening over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. It officially starts Friday and runs thru Sunday but there may be some pre-crop challenges sooner, so go check it out! Lots of challenges, games, and of course prizes and a sale too!

You can read more about it here on the blog:

butterfly mini-album and other stuff

Mini-albums are so much fun, I made this one about a trip to the wild animal park that we took last year (the album was $1 at michael's!):

Made this layout for a challenge at Scrap Attack, love the sepia picture with these Paper Trunk papers!

This was for another sketch challenge at Scrap Attack, I used shimmerz on the flower and the flourish:

crop layouts

Last weekend, I went to a crop with Bridget. Since my computer was down that day I didn't have the chance to print out any challenges or contests and so you know what I did? I made pages just for fun! (Can you believe that?) It felt so good to just do pages for me and got me to remember why it is that I scrapbook in the first place - for a creative outlet. I scraplifted a few pages out of a magazine, which I haven't done in forever, and I did a GotSketch layout - those always turn out great! So without further ado, here they are...

April reveals

This month at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, I got to work with the Old Fashioned Courtship line from Marks Paper Company. This was the first time I've ever used their paper, it has a great woven look to it and is nice and thick, and double-sided too! I also got to use a lot of Scenic Route Sonoma papers and embellishments because they matched so nicely. Enjoy!

(For those of you who don't use a Reader - I also added an email subscription feature on the sidebar if you'd like to be notified by email when I update my blog.)

just a few layouts

Well, I haven't done much full size pages lately. I've been working on some mini's and some gifts so I can't post those here yet. But I got a few challenges done recently at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking and thought I'd share them:

My example for the newest Croppy Cat challenge:

Last week's layouts

So I haven't really got a chance to scrap this week at all - hopefully this weekend. Here are a few layouts I completed last week.

The first here is the for the new Autumn Leaves challenge - use wallet sized photos on your layout (I made mine in photoshop):

this next one is a scraplift of the newest "victim" for the Croppy Cat challenges at Scrap Attack:

and here is an older Scrap Attack sketch challenge that I completed:

and this last one I totally love, look at the attitude of these two children, such strong-willed first borns! (I used Prima's March build-a-page sketch for this one)
